Audit Partner
Mark serves as Audit Partner on many investment companies including mutual funds, hedge funds, and registered investment advisors (RIAs). In particular, he focuses on the custody requirements of RIAs as well as the required financial statement audits. With more than 22 years of auditing experience, Mark is well-versed in technical audit issues and documentation, and served as Partner-in-Charge of the Accounting & Auditing for both Cohen Fund Audit Services and Cohen & Company for many years. He is actively involved in scheduling and recruiting, and developed and leads the firm’s Leadership Cohen program.
Mark is a member of the American Institute of CPAs
and the Ohio Society of CPAs, where he has served on
the Communications with Students Committee. He is a
member of the Advisory Board of the Akron Incubator
and President of the Akron/Canton Regional Food Bank
Foundation. He previously served as President of the
Food Bank’s Operating Board. His community involvement
also extends to participating in the Leadership Akron
program and volunteering for many events supporting
the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
A graduate of John Carroll University, Mark, his wife,
Cathy, and their children, Kelly and Daniel, reside
in Richfield, Ohio. Mark enjoys golf and a good game
of bocce.
