MY FOCUS:

Mutual fund, hedge fund and investment partnership audits (domestic and offshore)
Mutual fund tax issues
Experience with a variety of mutual fund structures, ranging from start-up funds to multiple series trust clients; work with some of the firm’s largest mutual funds—up to $4 billion in assets
Diverse hedge fund client base and fund structures, including Master-Feeder funds, fund-of-funds, multi-class and series funds, and private equity partnerships
Derivative instruments (futures, options, swaps and swaptions), complex investments, alternative investments (mutual funds/hedge funds), and the accounting and financial reporting issues related to these investments
Technical development and training for the firm

RECENT PROJECTS:

Agreed-upon procedures engagement related to compliance controls for a large fund service provider
Managed futures fund Master-Feeder audit for an offshore (British Virgin Islands) investment partnership
Investment partnership audit investing 35% of its assets in an illiquid investment with the remainder in flow-through investments (partnerships) and fixed income instruments
Audit of offshore (Cayman Islands) investment partnership investing primarily in derivative instruments (options, swaptions, futures and swaps) and foreign bonds
Multi-class mutual fund audit investing in fixed income instruments, options and futures with a significant portion of the portfolio’s fair value determined by the advisor, as well as illiquid investments
