MY FOCUS:

Audit engagement partner for a wide range of investment company clients, including mutual, hedge and offshore funds
Client base includes a variety of asset types, including domestic and international equities, muni and other fixed income, fund-of-funds, derivatives and complex pass through entities
MLP funds, offshore controlled foreign corporations and other alternative forms of investment companies
Historical experience in broker/dealers, leasing companies and private equity
Engagement and technical review partner for various attest engagements, including examinations of management assertions related to compliance with custody and transfer agency in accordance with the Investment Advisor's Act of 1940, the Investment Company Act of 1940 and the Securities Exchange Act of 1934
20+ years investment company experience
Technical and business development for the firm; previously involved in firm recruiting, internship program and accounting and auditing department

RECENT PROJECTS:

Assisted with the deferred and current tax calculations and financial statement disclosures for a newly formed MLP fund
Coordinated technical updates and their effect to the firm’s quality control and audit procedures
Presented on the revised custody rule and its effects to investment advisors
Served as adjunct professor, Case Western Reserve University, for graduate accounting class focused on investment companies and fund governance
